Great Recipes and Encouragement
I don’t believe in a “one size fits all” approach to a healthy lifestyle. Wilson’s stance is much the same. He provides ways to find what is best for you as an individual but, along the way, provides tips that will lead to more nutritious eating and a better relationship to food.
Let’s Do Lunch is not a specific diet plan (although sample menus are provided) but concrete ideas for lifestyle changes that lead to healthier choices.
I admit I have not tried all the suggestions in the book. I find some I can live with and others I cannot; however, that is the point. Find what works for you and go for it!
Is there anything new and amazing about this book? Not really. But is it a positive guide to exploring the best means for you? Yes. Is it the “Bible” of weight loss? No but it provides positive support in a battle so many share.
Of course, I question the lack of expertise of the author in this area. I find it lacking in endorsements by educated nutritionists. There is a part of me who is waiting for research to prove this plan is effective and healthy; however, that would take years even if the support was there to begin. Meanwhile, Let’s Do Lunch is a good place to explore what works for you today and pick up a few good hints and recipes.
Enjoying reading through your reviews. Compiling a list of "must-have's". Have a great weekend!
