Love on The Ice by Aletheia von Gottlieb

Love Off The Ice

by Aletheia von Gottlieb

For hockey lovers…as well as those who don’t love or know hockey!

Hockey is a huge part of life for many families, but others are unaware of this world. As only an experienced hockey mom can, the author weaves a story that relates in some way to the concerns of every family.

Allie, a figure skater, reluctantly turns to her long-time neighbor, Tucker, an ex-professional hockey player, to save her ice rink. Allie and Tucker had known each other since childhood, but the relationship had become complicated. The past keeps her away; yet today she needs him. Will she be able to ask for help when she has not forgiven him for the hurt he caused?

There are many questions to be answered and mysteries to be solved as Allie and Tucker are thrown together. With humor, irony and great dialogue, the story explores complex issues of life. A pleasant read as well as thought-provoking. Once involved in the story, I found myself ignoring the everyday duties of life to keep reading!

Though I received a free advance copy of the book, this review is based on my honest reaction to the story. Enjoy!
