The Reluctant Prophet

If you ever wondered what God’s voice sounds like, read this book.

Some Christians are evangelists. Others disciple. Some just live the gospel. This book is about one who says “yes” to God before she knows the question.

When I saw the title and the cover, I envisioned the mid-life crisis of a woman who grabs a Harley and ventures across country to fulfill temporary mission projects. Not so.

In The Reluctant Prophet, God calls Allison to ride only eight blocks to impact a community. Her reluctance is evident... as well as God’s provision. It is a profound story that every Christian should read.

It’s hard to believe this contemporary story is fiction. The authentic dialog melds the reader with the thoughts of the characters and the action. While a bit longer than some novels, it’s worth reading to the end. Surprises until the last page.

On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, I rate it a 12!
