Kay's Comments: A good read! I was enthralled after the first chapter. I kept trying to guess the outcome but was wrong until just before the end. There is a bit of humor thrown in to keep the story from too overwhelming but the events in this contemporary suspense are heavy. The romance is a bit forced at times but still interesting.
This Quilts of Love series has turned out a wonderful collection of a variety of times and genre within fiction. The covers are beautiful too.
Following an attack that killed her mother and stole her ability to speak, 21-year-old Sophia Montgomery has no choice but to accept her estranged grandmother’s offer to return to their family home. Although detective Julian Frazier is working hard on the case, Sophia unknowingly frustrates him because her inability to speak thwarts her eyewitness evidence.
